Early Matters

Specifically developed to provide support, social connections and information for families with children ages birth through age 5. The following links and downloads have been prepared to assist with common concerns and questions with special regard to early matters in a child's development.

Early On Oakland is a system of services for families with children birth to three years, who may have a developmental delay or a health condition that puts them at risk for a delay. This system includes a collection of services, supports and resources provided by many different agencies and programs. An Early On Service Coordinator would set up a developmental evaluation to see how your child is developing and growing. The evaluation process will determine if your child is eligible for Early On and the potential services for which your child may be eligible. If you would like to make a referral for a child under 3 you may call 1-800-EarlyOn or go to 1800earlyon.org to fill out an online referral.
