2Programs

The DSG has created a variety of programs and support services designed to assist individuals with Down syndrome, their families and their communities.

Parents of children with Down syndrome often don't know where to turn. The DSG gives parents the resources, education, awareness and support necessary to provide successful outcomes.

New and Expectant Parents - Provides information, resources and support for newly diagnosed parents and families.

Early Matters Program - Provides support, social connections and information for families with children ages birth through age 5.

School Age Matters Program - Addresses the unique concerns of families with children ages 6 through 17 with social opportunities, education and advocacy.

Adult Matters Program - Designed for adults ages 18 and up. Offers opportunities for sharing, socializing and learning experiences.

Our Outreach Program aims to assist educators, healthcare professionals and other community members by expanding their understanding of the unique contributions and capabilities of people with Down syndrome.

Scholarships

> The Down Syndrome Guild (DSGSEMI) of Southeast Michigan Scholarship Notification for 2017.

Thank you for your interest in the Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan's (DSGSEMI) 2017 Scholarship Program. We regret to inform you that DSGSEMI will not be awarding scholarships during 2017.

We currently are reviewing our scholarship criteria and soliciting funding so that we may confidently offer scholarships in future years.  While our hope is that we may resume awarding scholarships in 2018, we find that 2019 provides a more realistic timeframe.

If you would like to volunteer to help us raise scholarship funds, please do not hesitate to contact us at 248-556-5341.
